The Vasiliko vilage is a community with about 800 inhabitants and belongs to the fertile lands of the municipality Erymanthos in Achaia. Among the Vasiliko and Isoma (another community of the Municipality) lie the vineyards of Dimakopoulos family. Once in the 1990s the foundation was laid by the first generation of family growers who were Nicholas Dimakopoulos with his wife Vasiliki.
After a failed partnership for selling the grapes - a common practice of the times, they decided to proceed with the wine of their own grapes produced from a small owned vineyard of 11 acres. Determined to enter the wine market began timidly to become known and preferred by shoppers. The second generation consisting of Dimakopoulos George and wife Barbara Spiliotopoulou (graduate Agricultural) that took over form 2003, extended the vineyards gradually always using the knowledge and experience of the previous generation. Thereby combine the style of the new with the experience of the old.
We moved to the planting of new vineyards which, now, are spanning in an area of 70 acres and and were fully biologically acertated at 2008. Our winery was founded in the same year and included at the supervision of the certificate Organization DIO, following the strict rules for the wine making process and the bottling of the wines. We expanded our expertise in the production of organic multi-varietal dry Rosé, White and Red wines. Inspired by an old recipe of the locals where every manufacturer had a Ambelakia vine varieties and produced his own wine polypoikiliako. After experimentation, testing and continuous searching we - the second generation of wine producers - to implement successfully this old 'recipe' to our new multi-varietal wines.
